They became more aware of their self-image, how to promote and conduct themselves and how to succeed, both in school and beyond. Of those taking part last year, 80% passed five or more of their GCSE exams with a grade C or above. We once again look to positive results."

Christian told me stories about his experiences of life “on street”. The stories startled, appalled and fascinated me. One phrase in particular stood out. Christian said, "I can tell you a story about any street in the area." This chance conversation sparked me to consider what role theatre might play in helping young people make positive choices.
