Nehemiah Foundation
The Nehemiah Foundation is AKD's Trust that will provide life changing learning experiences for young people in the UK and Africa. We are going to build and sustain a school in Africa for young people to have a chance to learn entrepreneurial and essential business skills. Our intention is to work with partners and build this school in Tanzania. For us there is only one absolute. Whatever the Nehemiah Foundation does, it must be of an excellent standard and provide life changing opportunities.
Nehemiah is a biblical character who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. He couldn't do it by himself, but when he spoke about his vision, the people wanted to help him fulfill it. We're adopting the same principle. We don't just want people to make a donation. We want people to catch the vision, get excited and actively engage.
