This two day course is for those who want to develop their mediation skills. It is a very practical course, which provides participants lots of opportunities to demonstrate the skills required, through a range of challenging case studies. The case studies will be both generic and specific to your profession (if commissioned in house). Participants will also have space for self assessment, as well as feedback from their peers and the facilitators.

By the end of the course participants will:

• Have defined mediation and understand how it differs from other conflict resolution

• Explored the principles of mediation

• Understand the role and responsibilities of a mediator

• Understand the building blocks of mediation

• Practiced the key skills for mediation
