Young Gifted Entrepreneur allows young people to explore their capacity for business and reveal the entrepreneur within. It also provides an affirmation that dreams and aspirations can be turned into reality.
Young Gifted Entrepreneur is a 3 day programme that provides an energised introduction to business. The programme touches on different aspects of business (planning, developing product/service, marketing, finance, sales). Participants get an exciting snapshot of being an entrepreneur. After some tuition the young people are split into teams and have to complete a business task. The task could be creating a new restaurant, sports retail outlet, or new publication for teenagers. The young people are responsible for every element of the process.
At the conclusion we have real business people and investors come in and judge the work. Young people, teachers and carers are often astounded at the team work, effort, creativity and quality of the work produced. In a very short period of time, young people can see what they are capable of. Outcomes include:
Understanding how to develop and present a business concept
Improved financial literacy, including cash flow and profit & loss charts
Increased energy, motivation and focus
Enhanced communication skills
Improved self esteem
