The Art of Mediation
This course is for individuals who want to develop their mediation skills. The course will work on your foundational knowledge of mediation and then teach you ways to execute skills and strategies in this discipline.
This is a practical course, which provides participants with opportunities to demonstrate the skills required, through a range of challenging case studies. The case studies will be both generic and specific to your profession (if commissioned in house). Participants will also have space for self-assessment, as well as feedback from their peers and the facilitators.
By the end of the course participants will:
• Have defined mediation and understand how it differs from other conflict resolution
• Explored the principles of mediation
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a mediator
• Understand the building blocks of mediation
• Practiced the key skills for mediation
