The Challenge

With the introduction of the Equalities Act 2010, the Head of Involvement Equality and Human Rights wanted a totally fresh approach to delivery equalities training.   The training was for over 2000 staff across England and Wales and budget pressures meant that a creative way of delivering to this number of staff was required.

What we did

CQC were aware of Equally Yours and really like the training solution.  We created a bespoke version of Equally Yours for CQC.  This meant spending time with officers to understand the day to day equalities and diversity issues that the organisation encountered.   We then created questions and case studies and also a new board design.  In addition we created CQC learning zone, which allows all staff to go online and complete pre and post classroom assessments.    This enabled the organisation to measure increases in knowledge and confidence.
